DID YOU KNOW… The 1926 Camp Fire Girls Fountain in Hodges Park was designed by sculptor Alfonso Iannelli. In 2007, the Park Ridge Heritage Committee arranged for the renovation of the fountain, including a ring of 34 granite Milestones of History plaques placed around the Fountain recalling major events in the history of Park Ridge.  Late in 2018, the 34th and final plaque was set in place by the Heritage Committee, and inscribed under the date 2016 to honor the 2016 Presidential race of Hillary Rodham Clinton, who grew up in Park Ridge.  The plaque also acknowledges her place as U.S. Secretary of State (2009), U.S. Senator (2001), First Lady (1993) and as a member of the Maine South Class of 1965.
