

Buchheit Day

Join us in Hodges Park as we celebrate Buchheit Day, in honor of Albert J. Buchheit, the first mayor of Park Ridge! Albert Buchheit, a dentist, was 33 years old at the time of his election, which took place just one month after residents voted to adopt the City form of local government.
Take a ‘View of History’ tour from the perimeter of Hodges Park. The tour ends at the Campfire Girls Fountain, where visitors will receive a copy of the Heritage Committee Fountain brochure and a page celebrating Dr. Buchheit as our first mayor.
This special event is for children of all ages and adults. Come learn about our local history, the tour begins at Vine and Butler Place in Hodges Park.
This is event is free and no registration is required. Rain or shine.
