“Trailblazing Women of Park Ridge” examines the local connections of four remarkable women: Hillary Rodham Clinton; Clara Barck Welles, founder of the Kalo Arts Crafts Community House in Park Ridge and the first President of the 20th Century Club of Park Ridge; Hannah Solomon, an ardent advocate of women’s suffrage, founder and first President of the National Council of Jewish Women and president of the Illinois Industrial School for Girls; and Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, also called Mother Cabrini, founder of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The exhibit was sponsored by Anne Drake and debuted at the Park Ridge History Center in the spring of 2020. The exhibit closed in November of 2022.
